Current Events: April 27

D'OH! I had a very busy Sunday and forgot to update my blog. The posting and quiz will now both be Tuesday. If you are reading this on Sunday, you might as well get it out of the way!

I know you guys are sick of me posting about 3D, but can 3D make you sick?

This is a long article (and important to what we talked about in class). Due to the fact that it is so long, we will only have two article this week!

I think that the 3D thing is starting to get overrated. I also think it is funny that there are health warnings. People will always find something wrong with something people want.

I love Betty White. She is so funny! I used to watch the Golden Girls all the time. I think it is good for her that she is staring in a new show at her age.

Of course there has to be a problem with 3-D. In today's society, nothing can just be perfect. There's always that one person that says the "it makes me dizzy" or "it gave me a headache." Well so do many other things! I think that the health risks with 3-D are just a myth and only in one's head.

Although I believe this, I also believe that the movie producers are taking the whole "3-D" thing WAY too far! I don't think that EVERY movie that comes out nowadays needs to be in 3-D! In case they didn't notice...people still enjoy 2-D movies! I just think that it's a waste of money.

The concept for 3D films is cool and neat, but the end result is not. Every 3D movie or show I have seen has always given me a headache. For me, after thirty minutes of watching it I want to turn it off. I just cant take the constant visual effects. My brain cant handle it. Unless there is aspirin near by I am not watching 3D films.

The world, I believe is not quite ready for 3D filming quite yet. There are still some visual effects that need worked on. Now that we have 3D televisions on the market, I really think there is going to be a lot of complaints with headaches and eye irritation. Technology needs to slow down and wait a little longer so that the total 3D concept can really be enjoyed.

3D movies suck. They make your stomach upset and make you light headed. Theres been only one good movie that used 3D and its Avatar every other great movie didn't use it.

Soon everything will become a 3D movie, television show, or television series, and I wont watch TV ever again.

I personally have never been a big fan of 3D becaused for me it has always been a little bit to dizzy. I personally have lazy eye and have never really been able to see 3D quite to well. I believe that it was a good idea for thetime but is quickly on its way out of style and will soon be forgotten when a new technology is released.

The newest TV shows that will soon be released featuring a older generation is a brilliant idea. I know all my grandparents do is watch TV, why not put something they like on, the viewership will continue to rise. These focuses on the old generation are a great idea and will raise the ratings continuously because their will always be old people.

There is nothing wrong with 3-D. People are talking about this because they need something new to talk about. Look at all the doctors that said to much xbox will hurt your eyes and have effects. I know kids that play xbox for hours at a time and are top ten in there class and there health is great. 3-D tv and movies are amazing, they make the image so much better. No matter what technology brings somebody or some doctor is always going to say there is something wrong if you watch to much or play to much.

I think 3d could make you sick but I don't believe it gives people seizures. I'm sure in some cases people do because of a condition but not just because its 3d.
I think it could possibly get people sick because of certain movments and certain way colors can affect the brain. If your get motion sickness theb I could see how people get sick from 3d movies

Like i said in my other post, i am perfectly happy with 2-D movies. If a movie is truely great it wont matter if its in 3-D or not.

3-D is good in moderation. Its like a treat when you see a movie in 3-D, and i think that that is the way it should stay. People always want more and more and are never satisfied with a once in a while occasion.
